i just had 2 amazing all girl sessions in a row.
man oh man what that does to a mom of three boys like me.
it makes my day and twists my heart all at once.
i LOVE little girls. LOVE THEM!

cristy cross photography- check it out:)

this past weekend my family had the pleasure of being photographed by cristy cross who lives in clovis, new mexico. i've been looking forward to this shoot for months now. the minute i first saw her work--i was in love. i just think she is so creative and unique.
she's "authentic" as my friend chrissi richards says.

after being the picture taker for the past three years, i suddenly realized how my clients must feel. i was unsure of myself and nervous. what do i do? where should i look?
within minutes cristy had me at ease and i gave all that nervous energy away and trusted her.
i knew that if i loved what she does with everyone else on her blog/site, then i'd love the photos she does of us. and boy do i!
she had such neat ideas. the boys loved her. they were so good for her (unlike they are for me!)
they think they are 'famous' now because they're on her blog (because who reads mine, right???)

it's a-go people!

we are officially booked for the PICTURES FOR NATALIE FUNDRAISER.

i am so and grateful and humbled by the overwhelming response of YOU AWESOME PEOPLE.

by word of mouth, email and facebook posts--we completely booked the slots in TWO DAYS. wow.

words can't express my gratitude at the support and love you've shown natalie's family by booking for this fundraiser.

i'm telling you- it's going to make a difference.

i look forward to meeting all of the wonderful families that made appointments.

some of you i already know (and love) and others will be new faces.

i appreciate so much your willingness to do this and i promise you all i'm going to rock your picture world! just you wait and see.

PICTURES FOR NATALIE-- continued

As most of you know my friend Natalie Moreno passed away in May of 2008 of glioblastoma (brain cancer).

She left behind four children; three boys ages 12, 9, and 6, and a daughter age 4.

Natalie's husband Eddie quickly became a single father to their children.

He works a full time job and somehow has managed to juggle the role of father and mother over this past year.

Eddie works for an hourly wage and with his full time role as the sole provider and parent, he has had to leave work on more than several occasions.

Unexpected events such as children's doctor appointments, teacher conferences, recitals and the children's sick days have arisen throughout the year.

Each and every time he has to do this--even for the benefit of his kids--he loses wages.

I am so ready and willing and grateful to offer the PICTURES FOR NATALIE FUNDRAISER once again.

100% of the proceeds will go to helping Eddie and the kids.

We hope to be able to provide a cleaning service for an entire year to help maintain a well kept living environment and laundered clothing for the family as this has proven a difficult task for the still grieving family of five.

If there are any funds left over they will be used for grocery gift cards.

Feeding a family of five on a tight budget has not been easy and will continue to be a struggle throughout the years I'm sure.

I know you all must have charities or organizations that are near and dear to your heart. When you book an appointment for the PICTURES FOR NATALIE FUNDRAISER, please know that you will directly effect this local family's life, and they are truly special people.

*I am offering a limited number of 'mini sessions' in July.

*The dates will be July 11, 12, 19, 25, and 26-- in the evening hours (location to be decided shortly.)

*For a donation of $150.00 you will receive the top 5 digital negatives (in color AND black and white) from our shoot (with the copyrights!) and an 11x14 print.

baby kyleigh -albuquerque newborn photographer

my gorgeous friend victoria just had her 3rd baby, kyleigh.

kyleigh is all hair, rosey lips, cheeks and beauty.
i just love her.

it was so fun draping pearls on her, wrapping her in bows, tutus and hats...
(mom made the baby sized tutu and matching bow. SO CUTE!)

...and baby makes three!
